Does anyone remember living at any of these streets in Shettleston? Ducraig street and Denbeck Street? this would have been in the late 50's early 60's, please get back to me if you can remember any families from that time or remember your aulder relations talking about these streets;)

I know of one family that lived in denbeck st the gilmours father alex oldest son alex and younger son billy. my sister is friends with alex the sons wife maybe he could help with names.

Hello serabash, thanks for this offer, a long shot and I think as my family, Jimmy Stewart and his son, also Jimmy Stewart were last known in these streets in 1959, Jimmy senior died that year, but his son still lived in Ducraig Street into the 60's, I'm trying to get in touch with any relatives who may have lived there.

just spoken to alex myself he does remember a stewart family at the top of the street and is going to contact an old neighbour to see if he can find anything out for you. wink.gif

Yer a pal serabash! Jimmy my grandfather lived at 72 Denbeck Street and Jimmy my uncle was at 34 Ducraig Street, With any luck this old neighbour will remember them! need tae calm doon noo:)
