My mom and I imigrated to the USA... 1950s she was a war bride and refused to go with the rest of the war brides... in fact she really didn't want to go to the USA but finally gave in to my father. Her name is Emily Mcshane I have a cousin Jackie Cooper, cousins Kathy, Mags, Amy Mcclellan, Granny Katherine Mcshane and granda Hugh Mcshane (big paw) some of my uncles Charles (chic) Joseph, Harry, John and William. I was born on Pettigrew St in Shetleston... at my Grannys house at the time.... would appreciate any help to find family.

I can only trace as far back as my Granddad, Hugh McShane. He was an orphan from an early age on the streets of glasgow during the second world war with his half sister, and thus I know very little about his father other than that he fought in the war and never returned. Hugh had two sons, one still lives in glasgow and the other moved to edinburgh, my father.
