I'am doing a Family Tree and would like to find out anything on my Grandfather Samuel Benson,(28) who married my Grandmother Catherine Cassels (21) in 1897 in the District of Blythwood ,my Grandfathers parents were Alexander Benson & his wife Martha (m.s.Wilson) who lived at 140 Garngadhill.

and Grandmother Catherine Benson (m.s.Cassels) parents were Edward Cassels & Jessie Cassels (m.s. Swan) who lived at 164 Garngadhill.

I obtained this information from the Statutory Marriages register
All I can gather is that my Great Grandfather Alexander Benson came over from Co.Tyrone N.I. in the 1800's and believe also that my Grandfather Samuel was born there.
he lived most of his married life at 28 Flemington Street Springburn
where my mother Eleanor Benson was brought up with her siblings
Alec,Jessie,Peggy,Catherine & Betty. My Grandfather died in March 1946 and my Grandmother in December 1946.
Any Info appreciated.
