Well did you "Win A Car" with programme number
B4871 in post #5 ?
And do I see a youthful BBC
Match Of The Day pundit Alan Hansen of The Jags outjumping Kenny Dalglish in #7.
Interesting pictures, thanks for sharing, any more?

Jeep, how many pages did the Celtic V Real Madrid programme have? As 2/6 was a lot to pay for a programme in 1962, you could have paid less than that at the gate to see the game.

I see that the price in 1956 was 3d.
In 1962 it was 2/6.
In six years it went up by 2/3d, ir was that 2/6 to get in?
Great memories there Jeep.

Mathieson, I forgot all about "Win A Car". Do you think I"m too late to claim?
It looks like Hansen and Dalglish.
The same day this match was played Dalglish made his debut for Liverpool. he replaced Kevin Keegan who moved to Hamburg
Dalglish transfer fee was £400,000. Keegans fee was £ 500,000.
I have one more programme , Kilmarnock V Real Madrid.
I"ll try and dig it out.

Jagz1876, The programme has 28 pages so i guess that was the entrance money.
The Celtic V Dundee United programme in 1977 was only 10p
Real Madrid won 3-1 but i dont think Celtic wanted to win the BLUE AND WHITE Trophy

That car would probably have cost less than a tank of petrol at today's prices.

Ahhh.. the days when Scottish football could hold it's own against the best of Europe.
Those days are gone now, and in the past they must remain.
