Full Version: Dennistoun Craft Fair
Glasgow Boards/Forums > GG Discussions > Sport & Leisure

Dennistoun Community Together is putting on a craft fair for Dennistoun, which we hope will prove popular enough to become a regular event. The inaugral event will be held in Dennistoun New Church Hall, on Saturday June 14th 10am-2pm. The hall may be better known to some as Dennistoun Central Hall, and is located at the bottom of Armadale Street, just by the junction with Duke Street.

The event will be promoted through both local and Scottish national press, but as this is a new event, exhibitor space will be at a special introductory rate of 10 per six foot slot. Exhibitors will be able to set up from 9am.

To confirm a booking please phone Lisa on 07734 264765 or email If you would would be available and willing to contribute to interviews and/or photos for press purposes, please let us know when booking.
From the bookings we've taken so far;

Stallholders include: dotty monkey, florence box, fuzzylife, rockmylobsterx, amongst others...

-hand made cards, writing paper & wrapping paper (from a sustainable source)
-jewellery (pendants, brooches, earrings) & accessories (badges, scarves etc) - some kitsch, some classy, some cute, some using semi precious stones, some from recycled materials)
-childrens toys, gifts and colouring charts
-customised clothing
-& monkeys!!!

It's Father's Day the day after, but I'm not sure how much the above will apply... but you'll never know if you don't go (who wouldn't want a monkey?).

Those who don't often have cause to venture east might find this is as good a reason as any to pop across to Dennistoun. We're only a stroll along from the City Centre, or a couple of stops further on the train fae Partick. Or G31 2UU is yer postcode for google maps.

Anyhoo, we're a not for profit group with a budget of zero who are putting on a craft fair so any chance to drum up custom or support for our inaugral event is very much appreciated. It's the first of what will hopefully be a regular event.

Here's the pair of '2 sizes fits all' flyers (being our first fair, couldn't decide on which style would be most representative of the stalls ):

Maybe after, you'll fancy a nibble at Tibo, Tapa, or Coia's. And there might be something worth checking out at the Market Gallery, Duke Street too. All of 'em are jist aroon' the corner, on Duke St as you head back towards town.

(Anyone wishing to booking a stall please phone Lisa on 07734 264765 or email or see our website for more details).
