Bangzo.com deals with Ebay.

Bangzo.com deals with Ebay.

So what ? So do millions of other individuals and businesses. Just because you deal with Bangzo doesn´t mean you are dealing with Ebay.

If you have an issue or have had a bad experience with Ebay, as I am sure many people have ( what business can claim differently ?) perhaps you should tell us all about it.

As I said, I have dealt with Ebay for many years, purchasing anything from a CD from China to more expensive items like digital cameras and even a new mattress. I have never had cause to complain - on the contrary, I have been delighted with all purchases and with the speed of delivery

You seem to imply that any company using Ebay is unreliable in some way - this is certainly not the case.

Having a reasonably quiet day here - sunny but windy at times- mustn´t grumble !

Did a washing and hung it out!half an hour ago - soon be dry with the sun and wind. Just back from the village, posting the Christmas cards - quite expensive when they are mostly "abroad".

This is supposed to be one of the healthiest climates on the planet but my wife and I are never away from the doctor or the hospital to see the specialists. Old age, I guess. At least we do not have to pay for anything and it only took 4 weeks to get a specialist appointment. Doctor´s appointments are made on the net and we can choose the date and time out of those available. Big improvement on the system we had in Aberdeenshire.

Am most impressed with your appointment system Bilbo, should we all be this lucky in U.K.
bilbo.s
It works a treat. You just enter your health card details on the website, choose "appointments" and a list of days comes up. You click on a suitable day ( even the current one) and a list of available times appears. You choose one and then can print off the appointment, if you wish.

You can ask your GP for a specialist referral and he gives you a slip for reception, who get on the computer and offer you the first appointment available at our local area hospital - 50 minutes away.

Repeat prescriptions are entered on the microchip of your card for a period of 6 months and can be taken to any pharmacy in Andalucía for a monthly supply. Prescriptions are free for pensioners and their dependents.
Heather
I didn't manage out this morning as the snow is too deep, so I wrapped up well and waded through the snow to the corner shop who are making a fortune because of the weather. I got bread, milk and the newspapers.
So the Christmas cards for abroad did not get posted.

We have enough food in the house to last us until Saturday, then I will have to get to the butchers and Supermarket.
I know the Supermarket has a butchers counter, but we prefer to buy our meat from the butchers shop not the Supermarket.

I used the brush to knock about 3ft of snow of the top of the bin, then poured boiling water over the lid so I could get the rubbish in it. I left the bin lid open. wub.gif
angel
Heather,I'm wondering if you are getting your mail delivered during this time.
angel
well I'm off to take my car in for it's winter service and checkup,
finally peace of mind smile.gif
Heather
Angel, we are getting our mail every day, God help the Postmen in this weather.

I used the brush to sweep a path from the gate to the house to make it easier for the Post to be delivered. No point in trying to clear the snow, there's too much of it and the snow just comes down again.
I did clear the step at our door and sprinkled sugar over it as we heard the sugar is better than salt. It melted the ice in no time. smile.gif

Prescriptions here are not free for pensioners, if you don't have private medical coverage you pay, however, the goverment does have a programme which costs for pensioners $100.yearly for each person but you still pay for each perscription I think it's $2., it is'nt woth it unless you are a person who has to have lots of medication.
I do have private coverage which costs me about $17. monthly but is covers a lot more than perscriptions but I must say that I have never been a sickly person so long may that last.
Elma
It's a bit different here in British Columbia from Ontario. I don't pay for medical services because of my low income, it is a graduated fee for everyone. I pay for my prescriptions at full price until I have paid $250.00 and then the Provincial Government kicks in with again, a graduated payment. When I picked up my last prescription two months ago (I get a 3-month prescrption) I didn't have to pay anything biggrin.gif I almost danced my way out of the Drug Store with my Debit card tucked back into my purse laugh.gif

Sorry to hear Nev has to go back to the hospital, Anne. I hope he can put the thought behind him over Christmas and enjoy and I know you will pamper him, don't you always! (Wee smilie here, I have run out!)

Hello Angel,

If you don't mind me asking how long have you had Extended medical,
that is a very good rate $17

As Elma says things are different here in B>C>
would cost me at least $100 a Month then on top of that i have to pay B>C> medical as well to cover Hospital etc, but that does not cover prescriptions,

Elma I have to look into to that what you were talking about
As all Care facility have taken a big increase as of January/11

Cheers laugh.gif

Hi Annie , first of all my extended coverage is subsidised by General Motors Of Canada, my husband worked for them most of our life here, until his very short retirement, " ps, after his death I was still covered through his benefits," however when G.M. and the auto industry went into that so called downward spiral we now have to pay , and it is through "Green shield"
a nominal fee , $17.dollars for each person if we wish to continue with that medical coverage.
WE do not pay for hospital care at all here in Ontario, I might add that the $17. includes eye care . dental care , out of province and country medical care as long as it is not pre-existent and the list goes on n on, PS my perscriptions cost .65cent when I ever I get one cheers smile.gif
Elma
Right Annie, c'mon I think we should move to Ontario!! laugh.gif tongue.gif
Heather
Today I ventured out in all the snow, and went to the butchers, the bakers and the Supermarket.

I had to be very careful were I placed my feet as some places are still deep in snow and some getting a bit slushy. But being typical Glaswegians, as we passed each other there was a quick word and a laugh about all this snow. smile.gif

I was in a bit of a dither in one shop when I heard the Check Out girl saying the taxi firms were taking no more bookings for our area as they were booked out.
I always finish my shopping at the Supermarket and phone a taxi from there and today I got one no bother at all. smile.gif
annie laurie
Thanks Angel,

Well that is terrific and i sure hope you good health continues, and you don't need to use to many prescriptions,

Yes Elma in B>C> we sure pay for everything, even as one of my friends said Sunshine tax as well[jokeing]

My husband's Care facility rent has just took a whopping increase,
I just about had a Heart Attack when I received the letter On Monday,

In many ways we are lucky, i am sure there is people worse off than us,
But what makes me angry is we [like many others] worked hard all our life
never asked for any hands out or free byees then when you do need some help health wise, you have to pay for it and believe me you Pay Dearly for Care Facilities{home} here even with Medical Insurance,

Angel we don't pay for hospital if you have B<C< Medical Insurance but if don't have it you pay most people do have it though but I am sure there is some who cant afford it,

Right now B>C> is in one big Mess i think don't You Elma? even the Politicians are quiting their Jobs, ]after they screwed up everything] wub.gif But like I say i count my blessings their is always some one worse off,

Thanks for the information Angel appreciate it,
Keep well
But with your good positive attitude i can see how you are a Happy Healthy Lady,]cheers

I said maybe right >>>>>>>if I don't get any interruptions,

U>K> 's weather is colder than Canada

hang in there keep warm, everybuddy tongue.gif
Heather
Angel, Annie & Elma I'm very surprised in reading your Posts about the Health Care in Canada.
For some reason I thought Canada had the same NHS as Britain. It certainly sounds very costly to take ill or have some health problems.
The Health Care in Canada sounds like the same in the USA.

Today I got the Roald Dahl 14 book collection my youngest g'daughter asked us for her Christmas, that and Toy Story 3. The collection looks very nice and was well wrapped up.
I got it from John Lewis and was surprised at how quickly it was delivered.

I have the other g'daughters two DVD presents and some of the g'sons, except for one DVD I am waiting for to come from Argos for him.
I ordered two for him and one came but I don't know whats happening with the other as they did have it when I ordered it.

This is the first time I have done my Christmas shopping Online as the weather is too bad to go into town.
I always ask for a list from the g'children, then I know they will be happy with the presents they get.
I don't believe in the attitude, ' take what they get and be thankful'. It's just as easy to find out what children would like, then everyone's happy.

I still have a few others to buy for and will have to try and get into town next week.
angel
I have a busy day ahead of me, things to do , places to go and people to see, hope I can last the pace. I did not sleep well last night. sad.gif

Elma
I bought myself a new snow shovel at the weekend, the one I had has a metal edge, no use for the deck. It took me and hour and a half to clear my deck, as I hadn't done it, the snow was about 2 feet deep. Only about a couple of inches has fallen since so I'll wait, I have enough to do today anyway tongue.gif
Heather
We have not bothered to clear our drive last week or today, we don't have a car so there is no need.
Last week I just cleared a pathway to the gate and today the g'son did it for us.
angel
when the snow ploughs clear the road, unfortunately our driveways are ploughed in which can be a really messy job ,but this morning my neighbour came along and did that job for me biggrin.gif ,we don,t have that much snow here but some areas of the province are being hammered.
Anne1
