What's your preference XP or VISTA. They are phasing out XP by 2010. My ne desktop and laptop are Vista, I don't like it at all. My webcam is not compatible with Vista, so forth and so on. I f I can get a disc to install X P again I will .(Off topic sorry)

You guys are great, fair warms my heart to hear both you and jimmyd serenade me. laugh.gif
wellfield
Stratson,I couldn't tell you one computer from another, wrong generation, although the windows I have has every program you could ever need and is compatible with everythig I put in or plug in.
jimmyd
Well I agree with Anne , Vista is a pain in the proverbial bum !! Campbell if you have only used Vista , then all the proggies you have ,will be fine , but folks who have had XP , have a devil of a time ,trying to download new drivers for all the Software ,they have. I have a Creative Live external Sound Card, and have been waiting for months to get updated drivers for it. OK I have a couple of PCs which have XP , but my laptop is Vista , it has some great features mind you. But all my sound and images software had to be updated .
Anne if you look on e bay, you will find XP OEM software which has full licence , you can get it pretty cheap now. See if you can get someone to partition your hard drive and install XP. You have both then.

Heres a nice wee duet with one of the best singers on SingSnap. If you are a member go and listen to Hedy , she is a brilliant jazz singer.

I'm just catching up with all the singing I've missed.

Jimmy & Wellfield, you two are a class act with all your songs.

You need to get together and do a show. I'll throw in my g'son as Compere.
He's going to College in August to do a two years HND Course in Music & Drama but he really prefers comedy, so he will be ideal as Compere. smile.gif

Wellfield he's only 17yrs old and just finishing 6th yr at school so he's not expensive, not yet. laugh.gif

He will be 18yrs old in July and for his birthday we are taking him to America to visit my sister in New Jersey. She is getting tickets to take him to see a show on Broadway and he is very excited about that. Also tickets for the full tour of the Whitehouse in Washington DC. My brother-in-law has relations who live near Washington, so we'll stay with them for a few days while touring around there.

Heather
Angel, Jimmy and Wellfield certainly keep us entertained and there's nothing to beat those old songs from the 50s/60s.

Aye Wellfield, Saltcoats was where we went our holidays.

A few months before, mum would go there for a day and find a wee house or flat for the Fair Fortnight. When we arrived, dad always took us for a fish tea, that was our treat to start off the holidays.
Days were spent on the beach running free as the wind and when the Salvation Army came usually about 11am and 2pm all the children would gather round for a sing song. Deep and wide, My cups full and running over. laugh.gif
Some of the Aunts, Uncle's and cousins would take turns coming for a day and the cousins would stay for a few days. We would be sleeping four to a bed, but who cared, we all had a good time.

Memories light the corner of my mind, misty water coloured memories, of the way we were. smile.gif
wellfield
Aw' Heather,I could relate to everything you said---Those were the days.

Hey Campbell , they are oldies indeed mate, and well sung too.
Let me go lover , is wan of those songs , which will always remind me of home. I have two categories of songs Drunken Uncle and Drunken Auntie songs. !! They are the ones that when you went to a party , one or the other would sing a favourite song. Eyes shut and giving it all the long notes , some auld sod giving it the "wan singer wan song " thing . hahahaha Could they no just murder the most tender love songs , but it wis magic !!!! biggrin.gif

Heres something a wee bit more contemporary a duet with a young Filipna lass , who is a terrific singer.

Hi Tori,I smiled when I saw where you lived, as my wife used to live in Rockingham---a long time ago.
