Just to let you know that when I click on to reply to your fireworks post, I get an error message. Maybe other folks do too.

Anyway, they (fireworks) are driving me mad. I have never known them to be as loud as they are this year. And of course, they start so early and go on so late. Legislation does not seem to have affected this at all. I swear they are getting noisier every year - a far cry from the sparklers and bangers of my young days.
