I am charged with giving directions to St. Charles School from Maryhill Road and Wilton St. This is for someone from the USA who was unable to find it during a previous visit to Glasgow.

Is the school still there? If so, how get there by car and by foot?

Thanks

jockh,The school is still there and is in Kelvinside Gardens. If driving north in Maryhill Road from the city centre,go to the junction with Queen Margaret Drive. That is the first main junction when you pass the Fire Station.Turn left into Queen Margaret Drive and carry on for about 1/4 mile.Take 3rd street on the left which is Wilton Street.Drive up Wilton Street and take Ist street on left which is Kelvinside Gardens. The school is near the end of the gardens on the right hand side.It is possible to also reach the school by foot from Maryhill Road via Braeside St and Stair Street and Kelvinside Gardens East.Google Maps will give you a great idea of the area.
Hope this helps.

It helps a great deal Jupiter. Good to know the school is still there. I vaguely remember a set of red sandstone stairs. Thanks
