I added the 1881 census to Bunty's recent post and noted that her family were living in Cameron Street on the 1881 census.
i thought it was in Maryhill, but it appears to be in Hillington these days,
Anyone help on this?
Cannot see it on the Ordinance Survey map for 1892 as yet.

davie I looked up Cameron St in the info page here and it is now Lindroes St S2 it shows up as Cameron St South wink.gif

The wan I was lookin furr wis in The Barony.
Ah bet ther' isnae mony punters kin tell ye whur Lindores Street is in Glesga the day, wey oot lookin' it up.
I asked two taxi drivers, and they had not a clue either
I consider myself an expert when it comes to Glasgow Streets, having delivered all sorts of goodies to the populace over the years, and having worked for the Corpy on three different occasions, when business wiz bad, driving busses oot o' Langside, Larkfield and Possil.

I could not believe it when I run the AA Route search, and can see Lindores Street oot ma windae here in ma Glasgow flat.

Hi Cameron St is/was in Maryhill,it was across from St Columba's Chapel and almost directly facing Grovepark St,it/was situated between Garscube Rd and Maryhill Rd,just off Hopehill Rd,where the large explosion took place killing a number of people a few months back.when i'm down at LIDL's i will check to see if it or any part of it remains Cheers Flim
