I joined thes ite back in 2008, but lost touch after I moved jobs, back again. Big Rddy fae Ruggie (Rutherglen) originaly gorbals/castlemilk after the big storm.

I remember lots of roofs being blown off, the tarpaulin coverings appeared to last a couple of years, in some cases. Duke Street springs to mind. smile.gif

I don't remember a storm in 1967, i do remember the january 1968 one though.

January 15, 1968 This storm tracked north up the west coast of Scotland. In Glasgow, some 20 people were killed and 2,000 people made homeless, Ayrshire and Argyll also affected.

I dont recall any storms. I may have been living overseasin 68, but I was not in 67. I was making a lot of money round then and speding it as fast as I made it on guess what. Maybe I dindn't notice much going on around me if it didn't happen on a week day.
