Well spotted – and photographed – droschke! How can a barely noticeable word ("bum") on a taxi advert compare to that outdoor advert in terms of 'distractability'?
I noticed this snippet in the Herald this week, in an unrelated story:
QUOTE
Gilbert Davidson, chairman of the licensing committee which oversaw an absurd decision last week to ban an advert showing a pair of legs, has been demoted,
Regarding the advert, Mr Gilbert had concluded:
QUOTE
"The committee considers each advert on its own merits and, if necessary, takes a democratic vote on whether it should be approved.
On this occasion, the majority view was that some of the text - and also the image, which showed a pair of bare legs from just below the backside - were not appropriate."
