I was born in Rottenroe hospital, and spent all my childhood till I was ten years of age in
Viewpark Ave in Dennistoun. My memories of the area are all very happy ones. Walked to alexandra park and listened to the band show, thought it was great. Rolled my painted egg down the hill by the flag pole every easter. Fished for little baggie minnies in the pond brought them home in a jam jar . Rode the little paddle boats every summer. went every Saturday morning to the Big Parade picture hall .Not a care in the world, those were the days.
