I lived in Fingal St, Maryhill when I was about 8yo and never having been to church at that time didn't understand the concept of Sunday School. On seeing kids my age going into the building on a Sunday I enquired what they were doing. I was told "They're aff tae Sunday skool". I was horrified and full of compassion said "Wit a shame - poor things havin tae go tae skool oan a Sunday. They must be needin help". Secretly I was jealous because I loved school. I never had the pleasure of going to Sunday School but hope they did indeed get some help!

Hutchie, I remember well the Railway Mission in Cumlodden Drive. My granny used to take me there on a Sunday night.

Do you remember the Scout Hall in Cumlodden Drive? They used to have great dances one Saturday every month and the band was Dunky Young and they were terrific.
