I was baptised in the Battlefield East Church in October, 1947 by Rev. George M. Dryburgh. I really cannot make out his name, but near enough. I was wondering if any pictures exist of the church. Also is it still a church? I've tried Virtual Mitchell with no results of a picture.

Thank you both for replying. The picture of the church is a lovely one. It is probably the right church as I think my parents lived near Cathcart Rd. Thanks for posting it! I wish I could make out the pastor's name. Oh well, not really important

Thank you so much, 27, for the website and the information! You'll think I'm daft, but I actually seem to remember seeing the circular window with the angel before. I wonder if that could be, I was four when I left Glasgow. Thanks again!

Aw shucks!! Only too pleased tae be able tae help. I think it's perfectly feasible that ye remember the round windae even if ye were only four because it is stunning and would have left an indelible impression on many young minds.
Fabulous link, 27. Beautiful windows indeed. Could someone explain the flag on the right in the picture on the right of the colours? Just curious.
