Jagz the people of Scotland decided to stay in the UK. Something that you never mention. An Independence referendum is not a General Election. It doesn’t come up every five year or so.

The SNP does not have a majority in the Scottish Parliament

As you well know the Holyrood parliament was never designed to have an overall majority

It would also be good for Scotland if Nicola Sturgeon concentrated on the day job

Danny

We are still in the UK which is something i've acknowledged repeatedly Danny, and when did i say a referendum was a general election Danny?

Nor does the Tory party in Westminster

So why mention it?

She is, can you name one former FM who has done a better day job?

It's incredible Wombat, i cannot fathom the mindset of people who would prefer to be ruled by those buffoons than let the people of Scotland decide what's best for us ourselves.

The SNP does not have a majority in the Scottish Parliament. It relies on the Green Party. With climate change now becoming a major political issue, it will be interesting to see how the voting goes in future elections.

It would also be good for Scotland if Nicola Sturgeon concentrated on the day job instead of appearing at endless events, posing all day long. Can’t remember her posing in Govanhill with the poor female victims of human trafficking, who were brought into this country courtesy of ‘Freedom of Movement’. They weren’t smuggled in. Some system, eh?

In even plainer English , if we don't become independent soon then Scotland really will be plunged into chaos. yes.gif

It is my belief that if Corbyn or Johnston, or whoever is the next UK Prime Minister, refuses to give Scotland another Independence referendum, then she will go down the same route as Catalonia.

In plain English, she will attempt to have another referendum, and plunge Scotland into chaos.

Alarm bells are ringing for me. The recents events regarding the SNP’s intervention in the attempted extradition of Carla Ponsati by the Spanish Government has me worried.

Watch this space.

Hello Ashfield

You are absolutely correct. No question about that. I am afraid the word dementia is slowly but surely becoming a part of my life. While I was writing that post I had a clear image of Tony Benn in my mind when he visited my place of work, probably in the 1970’s, and yet, I wrote Tony Blair!

No excuse, but this mistake probably arose because I was also thinking of Tony Blair and the Iraq war at the same time. Too much for the old brain to handle.

I thank you for the way you handled my gaff. You could have made me look as foolish as some others have portrayed me.

Regards

Danny

No problem. Been there, done that got the tee shirt (not to mention the sack cloth and ashes yes.gif )
