Thanks Dave but I don't think it has much to offer us. We've got smart TVs which are linked to our broadband already so all the catchup channels are there already. We don't subscribe to anything outside of our TV licence.

You get a larger selection of quality shows and selection of movies than your smart TV can provide though. yes.gif

Sorry, I don't get that JAGZ. According to the online blurb, it requires further subscriptions to Netflix, Hulu etc to get more channels? Am I missing something?

Netflix is about £5.99 per month, Amazon i can't remember (it's through my DD payments) but those two alone would be less than £20 per month, but as Dave say's you have access to YouTube, and also BBC I Player, ITV Player as well as other channels too included.

I'm not trying to sell you anything Ash, just pointing you to better options that put you in control. wink.gif

Cheers JAGZ, I just wondered if I was missing something. I already get all the iplayers, YouTube and can get subscription channels like netflix on my smart TV already. Apparently I could also use it to surf the internet but why I would want to do that is another question unsure.gif

Netflix £5.99 and Amazon Prime £7.99. I wouldn’t be without either!

There is a lot more to the Firestick than the Apps that come with it.
I have 'sideloaded' over the years a lot of IPTV Apps. The one I use most at the moment is called LiveLounge using that one I have access to all the English language channels in the world regardless of country. TVTAP is another one that gives you all the English country's channels. LiveSports TV gives me all the Celtic games.
Thats probably why I watch YouTube out of preference there's far to much choice.

Seriously off-topic, but maybe that's a good thing!

Keeping ourselves entertained is a good thing and it's still relevant to the virus emergency thread, it's better than "What did your Daddy do during the war?" laugh.gif

Oh, pardonnez -moi, madame! Since when is ContrAvirus a subject for "relaxed general discussions"? I see! Since you introduced ( and misspelt) its topic in the wrong category!
