I know it's just how that matches fall but it does seem a bit unfair that one player gets a day's rest between matches and the other doesn't. Still, at least he'll get home for his baby now.

Well'.....This man never seems to make it all the way most of the time, and it's happened once again.....watched many a TV interview of him,I find him to be a 'dour' bugger and lacking personality, not a good ambassador for his native country....congrats on his baby!

(not sure how you do this quote thing)

Betty - Andy did have a day's rest between matches, he played the Canadian on Friday night. Had Saturday off which he spent supporting his brother Jaime playing in the men's doubles which he won. The match did not finish until after 1 am Sunday morning.

I was gutted Andy did not win but he was really up against it. His wife pregnant on the other side of the world. His father-in-law had a heart attack at a match the other night. The match against the Canadian really was a hard fought battle, which I think Andy was lucky to win. I really think this was Andy's last chance to win the open, but who knows we could see him back here again next year.

You are right Dykejumper, Novak really is too good not sure Andy has what it takes to beat him. Yesterday he visited one of the local preschools in the West of Melbourne. Where he made a donation of $20,000's he also spent time playing with the children. It was wonderful to see.

I'm not sure JC with a combination of Federer's, Nadal's and Murray's best shots could beat the Joker at the moment ! He's just 'fully in the groove !'

Thoroughly enjoying the coverage of Wimbledon, a must for me every year.

Well done Andy, let's hope he makes Wimbledon Winner this time.

Hoping Andy Murray gets into the Final BUT.... Milos Raonic has already made the Final so who do I support. The News bulletins here only show Raonic's games so if Murray makes it to the final we will see them both thumbup.gif tongue.gif

P.S as if you didn't know, Raonic is Canadian, the first one ever to be in the Final at Wimbledon.

I think today that I saw Andy Murray play the best game of his career

he is indeed a worthy champion . Congratulation to him.

Milos on the other hand did not play as well as he thought

he would , However he did have a great tournament

and cleared the way for Andy . tongue.gif biggrin.gif
