Jings, Av jist read aboot ye 'Avril'.
Been thinking aboot dain the same thing as you jist recently, efter huvvin a wee bit ai success in the competition department. Just can't seem to put sufficient away. I know it needn't cost an arm & a leg, but its money we simply haven't got right now.

I wish you well - and promise to read your first two.

Thank you very much wee davy, it's so nice to receive appreciation and encouragement smile.gif It's not easy for first time authors, infact it's practically impossible to get a publishing deal unless you are famous. If you believe in yourself enough then paying a publisher to print and publish your first book is about the best route to take in order to get noticed but you have to be prepared for a hard and expensive slog ahead, writing to, phoning and calling into bookshops all over UK, asking them to stock your book and giving them a complimenary copy, which you have to buy from your publisher....to be honest writing the book is the easy part, the hard work comes afterwards! I was very lucky in that my efforts paid off and my first book got me enough recognition to be offered a wonderful publishing contract for my second novel, so I thoroughly recommend this method. I wish you well wee davy and hope you will be able to follow your dream. smile.gif
