Fantastic, Danny. What gave it away?

In the early 1950’s I used to go ice skating at Ayr, and we sometimes played football on the grassed area in close proximity to the white building. For some reason or other, I seem to remember music blaring out of it.

One one occasion at the ice rink, I finished up going to the local hospital. I was in the ice rink cafe and I bought two coffees. On the way back to my girlfriend who was sitting at a table, the blade on one of my skates caught in a rut, making me go to one side. My hand needed attention for the scalding.

When I finished my National Service, Ayr was our first holiday as a married couple. I think it was Bobby Jones band that played in the ballroom in the Town. Thinking back. No alcohol allowed on the premises.

We went to the greyhound racing one night, on the outskirts of Ayr. The two of us were standing looking at the greyhounds as they were being paraded before the race. When the greyhounds were passing in front of us, the boy with one of the greyhounds looked up at my wife and nodded down at the greyhound he was handling. We got the message and put a couple of bob on it to win. It did.

However, on another night at the greyhound racing, the dog we had a wee flutter on was winning right up to the finishing line. The wee beggar stopped for a pee just before the line.

The problem is, in my Photo Gallery on my phone, the pic is the right way round! Yet it turns after I upload it.

Thanks, though, THH. I will pay more attention next time, maybe deleting it & redoing it if it’s sidey-ways. 😎

Didn't touch it ... other than `pick'n drop' it onto my desktop ... open and turn it and repost then delete it from my desktop cool.gif
If you review the post and see that the picture needs turning just go back to manage and delete the thing then upload again, having turned it rolleyes.gif and then repost it in the same reply smartass.gif laugh.gif

Here are the pics I took in Saltcoats today. It was a beautiful day but, to escape the bizz, we headed up to Ardrossan Castle which I remember running about in when I was wee. Changed days. It’s all fenced off but still lovely. Arran was so clear and looked really close. The colours were beautiful.

Och, how do I rotate the first pic? Will I have to crop it more?
