I remember Maggie Gallagher. She was a neighbour. My granny was Maggie McLintock and she stayed in the middle flat with her son, my uncle, Jimmy. We lived in the ground floor, I think Maggie Gallacher was too, my parents were Bill and Margaret McLaren. My mother is Maggie McLintocks daughter. This was 15 Emerson Street. The Proudfoots lived above us. The Shorts lived above our granny. Those were good times.
I also lived in Emerson street just a few closes down.I remember Billy Proudfoot and the Shorts,I think the dads name was Frank. They had twin boys Malcolm, can,t remember the other boy ,but a girl called Sadie Watson who lived next close to me hurled them up and down the street in their pram.I remember Mrs McLintock,as I was born in Emerson St.in 1947 and left in 1968 to get married. I remember all the things that the good people are writing in over the years, fantastic memories.
