Can recall watching this show on the tellie back in the early sixties Bill and Ben Flowerpot men,can remember the Invisible Man which gave me nightmares-Vinnie

Never saw the invisible man Vinnie (sorry , couldnt resist it), I do remember Bill and Ben however , what about Andy Pandy , The Woodentops , Busy lizzie and Tales from the riverbank, they were all Watch with Mother programmes for children.

I remember Bill and Ben and Weed , also Pinky and Perky , Muffin the mule , Tinga and Tucka , Camberwick Green , Lamb Chops , there's a few more i can't remember the names of.

i recall that back in the mid fifties bill and ben the flowerpot men were part of "the children's hour" that started at 5:00 in the afternoon.
also included "the andy pandy" show.
brings back a lot of old memories from the old days in drumchapel.

I remember them back in the 50s!!! I now live in the US and my best friend, who is German, knows all about Weed and very good at impersonating him/her/it!!! I remember the thrill of having a tv and my cousin being allowed to come over at 5 o'clock to war\tch Popeye or the Lone Ranger. How innocent it all was.

You forgot Rag Tag and Bobtail! My favorite was "Sooty and Sweep, How about "Blue Peter" I think 2 of the cast on that were John and Val?
Great show, now l can't get the tune to that show out of my head.

In the RAF (Bomber Command) in the 60`s it was a big rush back to the billet to watch Magic Roundabout.

Hey, Foxy 52, Mrssnuffy here who's last namer is Fox and lives in VA!!!! I had Sooty and Sweep hand puppets. Wee kid up the next close pinched Sweep and I never did get him back!!!
