Great wee gentle tome, largely about Anderston just before modernity hit. I'm 10 yrs younger than the author but recall a lot of his references with fondness.

The wider Glasgow is also investigated with humour and some great photies and references. Worth a peek if you get the chance smile.gif

rolleyes.gif Then look out for 'Glasgow Smells Better'. for the first 500 I am allowed to use Roger Hargreaves Mr Happy 'Glasgow Smiles Better'. Also coming is 'Buy Sheep - Sell Deer' - a Glaswegian in the Highlands.
