I mind o mammys cabinet where her china was kept,
Dinny touch that yeel leave a mark oan the Gless,
Whurr oor noses wurr pressed,
Dreams of days that the door would unlock,
Out came that china with glee & delight
Oh what a bonnie sight.

The fine linen cloth on the table,
Butter knives on teaplates &Teapot on the stand,
We gazed & marvelled as they turned it three times
The best tea was made,Cakes buns & sandwiches adorned,
On layers of a china plate stand, was where I would stare don`t touch don`t dare.

People arriving coats getting hung where they could go,some oan the door handles and all.
The flood of smells combined, lined my heart with passion for these times that felt like mines.

The best china oot the best of family & friends chattering my wee head just reaching to stare oh god a hope mammy sees me here, Linda yer there go oan then get a plate don`t just stare,
My eyes wide opened mouth aslurp a helped masell tae mammys Tuc yum delights, scones wi jam & wee treats awe kinds even some dusted turkish delight!

Ma favourite times these wedding teas these visitng days the special dates for grownups
where weans came tae tea tae,
My Favourite favourite ,Oh those gorgeous days, those beutefull patterns oan plates were ma mates,
There upon the china the flowers did lay, waiting for me to dream & play.

Splendour and colour vibrant and spreadjust like the woods& in Ma hoose tae,
Mammys china was reds yellows full of sunshine & greens like I see in the park were there too, purples & golds,
Oh what a hold their beuty had,

All is quiet Noo, folks have gone the chinas on it`s way back am sad ye know,Back tae pressing up by ma nose,to stare at what lies beyond locked doors.

I would always say
can a help ye mammy ?of course she said No,
these are precious ye know al give them tae ye when am old,

mammys old now she moved with the times she lost her passion & found new things,That china has gone
My wee heart is sad & a wee bit mad
Cos well Mammy forgot

Mammy forgot to keep her china furr me,Although I Didn`t know it at the time,

Away it went oer times & places as it was sold tae feed oor faces,Mammy was sad tae yet glad tae dae it,

Why Mammy Why asked I, Cos you wurr mair precious than them,
Am her china noo, the kind that lasts her lifetime she says
Oh How we miss mammys china,
memories last for more than a lifetime,

Mammy am yer china You are mine
Oh my How I still remember our china so splidid & colourfull
Just like us Mammy awe precious tae

Many memories of joyus times that dear china is still mine,in my memory the minds eyes.
Does see them days gawn by,
Mammys china cabinet awe coulourfull whit delight.
It is my tiurn now , It is me that was precious awe that time
I have her china which I will give tae mine.
One day she will get it that daughter o mine wub.gif
