My grandfather was born in Lambhill Crescent , Lambhill in 1884. It is the address on his Birth Certificate. I have been searching for weeks through many old Lanarkshire online maps but have been unable to find any reference to the Crescent. However, I did come across a reference to it recently: There was a fire in a coal mine in no. 15 Cadder pit in 1913 in which 22 men died. One of the deceased, Owen McAloon, a pony driver, lived in Lambhill Cres. So it existed up to 1913 at least.
Would love to get an old street map of Lambhill that shows the location of the Crescent. Hoping somebody on this forum can help.
