Hi folks, a great grand aunt of mine, Miss Annie Stewart, worked at the Luma Lamp Factory at Shieldhall Road for many years from its early days (circa 1939) up until around the time it closed and went on to become a caravan showroom and now of course luxury flats.

I would be interested to hear from anyone who worked at the factory during the same era as Annie and maybe remembers her, or what life was like working there in general.

Best regards,

Jamie Yates
