Rab, that ad. brought back memories for me. My dad always used Gibbs the pink toothpaste in the wee tin. I thought I was being very modern by using toothpaste in a tube biggrin.gif

Elma, I remember the tins of pink toothpaste.

Did anyone read in the Sunday newspapers yesterday that Pulleys are making a comeback?? Apparently people are beginning to use them because the Tumble Dryer is bad for Global Warming.

I've used a pulley for years, it's in our utility room.

i heather a read it and guess what my son pulled the faulse celling my ex put up and walla my old pully rollers in the celling a should have taken a picture a used to use it when a first moved here and the drips cold drip drip on my head and neck was brrrrrr chilly still they pulley rollers mist be over 100years old am telling yo my wee semi detatched was for little people ha ha not any big rooms in it atall tee hee laugh.gif this is what is up on my old ceeling the new celling is back up but they are still under it nostalgic or what

Heather: I was singing that when I posted the ad!.
Pulleys are regularly advertised in the Sunday editions of The Times - seems like the AGA owners like to have a pulley swingin above it.
