QUOTE (big al @ 28th Jul 2007, 01:47 PM) *
- I would love us to see each other and see how we both turned out after all this time....

As they say, as one door closes another opens - my life has been like that all the time - as it must have been for most of us I would guess....

I don't think it does any harm to wonder - about anything really...

Aww Al, now I am gonna greet wub.gif
but your post above sums up the same thing for me one door shut and another did open

I did wonder a lot ! but that's all I can say for now ..

Remember the first love Lennox ?? Aye, but that would be telling - if they read these boards eh ??

Would the 'first love' be the one you "fell in love with" or "felt in love with" ??

If I remember backwards far enough, there were several lassies I thought I would marry when I grew up (Including them already named above). I even remember one who - with a few pals - started to sing that at me "Name is gonny marry Name" (repeated, repeated, repeated ad-infinitum) - - and I wizny called Geezabrek eether?? I guess I likely used to blush then -- wink.gif

I remember 'one' of my big brothers parties, when I had a girlfriend and thought we were the biz... until I met another just as much the biz ?? Growing up wiz kinda fun. wub.gif

*But would you pass them in the street and not recognise them ?? Dunno about that !!
*would they pass you and not recognise you... could be - I guess ??

***Has anyone 'bumped' into an auld flame - shock or pleasure ??

I first met my Wife to be at the Garrioch Club (IN THE GARRIOCH SCHOOL) that was in 1948 I had just joined the Royal Navy and was home on leave I went back off leave and got drafted abroad on 1949 I didn't come back until August 1952 my mate was home on leave from the Royal Marines, he told me that he got us a date with two nice girls that was when I saw my future Wife again we all took a trip out to Milngavie and when we came back I proposed to her, later that night she accepted,I forgot to mention that the other girl was supposed to be my date, we got married 27th.Dec,1952 this is now 2008
