This error is happening quite frequently. I have pasted the error message into a PM sent to you.

Hi All, I'm looking into this just now and will try to fix it as soon as possible. I've been getting the problem sporadically as well unfortunately.

Please try the 'refresh' link as a short term solution while I work at it.

Bye for now...

Hi All, I've tried to fix this problem over the last week and this problem hasn't completely gone away. I'm thinking of moving the boards to a faster server as the solution.

Before I do can you reply to this message if you have been getting the SQL-type error message on a regular daily basis, so that I can gauge the extent of the problem?

Thanks,
GG.

Getting this error daily. It's sporadic & I haven't attempted to note the times. Anyway, it happens several times daily. Today was the worst as it occurred maybe 10 times.
[not just now though]

Thanks, thebardau, that's certainly not good enough and I'm going to set up the option on another server.

Shouldn't be too much disruption to the boards, if at all. Will let you know when we switch, or may just do it without you knowing!

I'll keep this server connection probably though, as I can use it as a back-up. The new system has a back-up facility which the old GGBB one didn't, so we won't be inconvenienced by data loss.

Anyone else getting errors...?

I'd say I get it 95% of the time - sometimes clicking 'preview' (which always comes up) and then 'send' works. The post appears but seems to be gone when I next log on - enough to drive ye tae drinkin'

Last night Cathering replied to my post about this - today I can't find those posts rolleyes.gif
