Was just wondering if any of you have problems after a google chrome update?

I can't get into my National Lottery sign in - due to 'recent updates from google chrome' so I must not be alone on the website as others are having problems too - apparently the National Lottery are looking into a way of fixing it.

I hate using IE, so don't really want to wake it up.

I do not have any problems Carmella, being using chrome for a long time as there was nothing but problems when I was using Mozilla firefox.
Do you get updates from Windows?

Hi Carmella, I had no problems with Chrome until recently. Yesterday it was just one update, but it took an age to finish. Today I had 19 updates and whatever happened all cookies were deleted. I thought I knew my passwords for everything, but I had to guess one and have another sent to me. So is this a common problem with Chrome?
I hope you recovered all your stored info.

I use chrome all the time although I do have IE available but I have never been aware of any updates for chrome. Are they being done as part of the normal windows monthly updates? I dont recall seeing them in the update history !

Hi guys thank you for your replies. As you say like yourselves, I have used Chrome since it first came out and, although IE is on my PC I've never used it, I think once you've used Chrome your spoiled.

However, it was just last week I noticed that there were a few gliches - all gone now I think.

One of the things I've noticed is that when you go top left and right click the back button - you get a drop down list, what I'm seeing now since the recent updates (and never before) is the page I'm currently on, e.g. the GG Boards, then under that about six links to 'new tab' As you know if you want a new tab you just click one and a new window opens up. This is still happening but why all of a sudden am I seeing six or more 'new tabs' I have no idea.

Hi again Carmella, I've had no problems with my home PC which uses Vista. My work laptop uses the old XP and that's the one with Chrome problems. Could it be an operating system problem? It's all fixed out and working properly now, but it was weird for a few days.
Have a very pleasant day. I'm staying in with the radio as the clouds are gathering and it looks like a day for the house smile.gif

hi David.

I use Windows 7 and I love it, have been using it since the beginning of the year, and this is the first time I've ever had anomalies or gremlines with Chrome, but they're not causing me any problems, but you tend to notice these things because they are out of the ordinary. Hopefully, I'll get to the bottom of it.

Carmella the back button has always been available to use as a quick glance back at recently visited pages. Still using the left click you have to hold the button for a couple of seconds to activate it otherwise will just give the previous watched page.

I know about this Doug but it just all looks and behaves so differently from a few weeks ago. I may end up just ignoring it LoL
