One time I bent down to pick up a 10 cent piece outside a shop, and it was glued to the ground,I glanced in to the shop and a lot of blokes were having a great laugh at my expense,I still blush years later remembering that, and early on this year we had a really huge Summer wind,a very unpleasant day,I was walking along a main road and a $20 note was picked up by the wind and blowing right towards me.There was a line of cars waiting for the lights to change and I thought it might be some kind of joke so I didn`t go out of my way to catch it, in case some smarties were sitting in a car laughing, but had second thoughts and followed it all the way back down the pavement, and just at that minute where the wind had dropped, the lights changed to 'walk" and I watched as someone crossed from the other side got to it before me. Oh well back to picking up 5 cent pieces, and there`s plenty of them about. When i was a little girl growing up in Glasgow I had a recurrent dream where i was walking along the road picking up pennies and haipennies,a lovely dream,i would wake up with my hands clenched, but empty!.These days I occassionally have the same dream but it`s now $50 notes. Got to move with the times even in dreams that we have no control over.
