Hello Keppochilill Road residents in thirties/forties.

Does anyone remember Troiano's barber shop? He lived with his children at 451 Keppochill Road and had been left a widower with five children.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

I'm live not far from where you mention but I am somewhat lost. The Perthshire club you mention, was it a football club. There was a Perthshire football club in Ashfield Street in Possil. I can vaguely see a little building that was just up from the garage in the seventies that was a social club if that's it. If that is the club you mean it has long gone. The ground at the garage is now called Eastfield park

Yes there was a pub called The Perthshire just at the garage on Springburn Road it was my local for years.

Hi ExPOW I think the smell was not caused by Huggies ( Hodgkinson ) slaughterhouse more from the Soda Waste which had been dumped by the chemical firm of Tennants
here are a couple of not new photos of the Pinkston Bar in Keppochhill Road and Bensons which was situated at Pinkston Rd
I believe there used to be a Perthshire Club in Ardoch St for a while before moving to Springburn
Cheers Flim

My father and Uncle had that wee shop sandwiched in between Pinkston Bar & Paul's Dairy late 50's, early 60's.

Gibb Brothers...........any remember this great wee carpentry shop or know of any photographs? A long shot I know.
