The draw for the Betfred Cup Group Stage has been made. Thistle were drawn in group E which looks like this:

Group E

First game at home to ICT on the 6th August, the following week yet again our game with Celtic postponed to allow them a money grabbing friendly, then tough games against Aberdeen, Hearts and St. Johnstone.

Not just Celtic stabbing you in the back Jags. The corrupt SFA have done you out of another two money spinning home games it seems.http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/partick-thistle-furious-over-sporting-8219332

Hello Jagz

One of the things that annnoys me regarding the 'bigger' football clubs in the UK, is that they ALL consider their past season to have been a failure if they don't qualify for one of the European competitions. Having achieved qualification for any of these tournaments, they then complain later in the new season that they have too many games to crush in during the season! In fact, playing their Scottish League fixtures are an annoyance, and an impediment to them succeeding in Europe.

So I don't need a crystal ball to forecast , that come January, February, Celtic will complain that their players are being asked to play in too many games. They will ignore the fact that other teams in Scotland will have lost badly needed income because the rearranged games will take place mid-week, and not on a Saturday as originally intended.

Danny

Really disappointing game and the referee was shocking, well taken goal by Chris Erskine and good to see Amoooooo hit the back of the net.

C'mon the Jags. thumbup.gif

I learned my lesson many years ago Jags. Rather win the ugly way and take the points. Than play pretty good fitba and walk away pointless.

Good result against a team that will prove a stumbling block for others in the days to come.

The players should be refreshed after the international break, tough task against St Johnstone but hopefully we'll get all three points, hope new signing Adam Barton gets a run out at some stage.

C'mon the Jags. thumbup.gif

Hopefully we can get our first away league win of the season today, we need to tighten up at the back as we can't keep giving silly goals away if we want to get off the bottom.

Nice to have a new Glasgow derby in the fixtures.

C'mon the Jags. thumbup.gif

After having the better of the first 30 minutes sloppy defending is once again our downfall, thankfully Kilmarnock are as bad as us.
