Even in times of locked-down museums there is always something somewhere ...

I must say that this looks like a brilliant sculpture. It's part of a fantastic new redeveloped parkland project near Falkirk called The Helix.

I think I have photos of the Heads which I took while up to see the Falkirk Wheel with big Kriss on that TeeHee's Trip ... but I seem to remember that perhaps I had camera Trouble too. I'll check it out over the Weekend. They really were fantastic sculptures ... but the Falkirk Wheel was a work of art on it's own yes.gif

Just saw this yesterday on a post from a cousin on FB. Very impressed and must take a gander when we are next over in Airdrie in March.

I'm having trouble with the original link I wanted to put on for this but it's worth searching the web for other images of the art work.

While visiting my oldest friends late mothers house I found this picture haning in her hallway. I got such a fright and said to my friend that looks like me (when I was younger)and she said her mother always thought so.
She gave me the print and all of my family seriously thought it was a drawing someone had done of me years ago. I had to explain this was not me but a painting by Augustus Renoir (problably painted in paris around 1872. The painting is part of the burrel collection bu I am not sure if it's on display. It gives me a shiver every time I look at it as it's like looking like a younger version of me.

  Hi Elma.

I wasn't particularly thinking of Avril whose work I am very familiar with.
I particularly love her paintings of Glasgow Tenements - they're fantastic, in fact I was looking at some of her work yesterday. A very fine artist indeed.

She has some nice Arran art in her portfolio as well as some cute looking dolls which I've never seen before.

I moved 2 years ago to my current house which is so different from my last one, so I am in need of some new pieces of art - which I adore, but a bit more limited on what I can best afford, so I intend buying wisely.
