Angel,

I had a couple of questions about Ducraig Street and although I new the area quite well I didn't know where it had been. It run through from Darlieth Street to Kenmore Street - just where the Bottle Exchange place used to be. The name of the person who asked was Rod Gall who's Email is rga00973@bigpond.net.au . Have you had any other replies?

Hello Toni Jaconelli, I don't know the area of Glasgow that you have mentioned
sorry I can't help with your questions .
It's looking like we now have more than one Angel on the board , laugh.gif
However I am simply Angel : from Partick and Angel1 is from a different area and a different poster .
A bit of a mixup I suppose . Cheers .

Hi kiltie2,

I realise you posted your message a long time ago but I have been trying to find out where 34 Ducraig Street is because my Gran lived there. When did your relative live there?

And does anyone know anything about a fire at that address?

Sorry for the confusion. I did not have relatives who stayed there, I lived opposite. I did know the Coyles, Redferns and the McCuskers who lived in the building.

There was also a lady called Dinah but I don't know her second name.

Ducraig Street, Shettleston, Glasgow. 1970's approx.

Ducraig Street ran from Old Shettleston Road to Darleith Street, at the bottom left corner of the building when standing in Old Shettleston Road, there was a shop. I believe it was called "Jenny's" then "Bill's" when a chap of the same name took over. At the top left corner of the building was "Gibson's House" This was a main door two story house which was attached to the Red Building. I found it strange that this house was there, attached to a tenement building.
