Dose anyone know if it is still around?
I remember going in for my fart and itch powder when i was a kid.
It had a long counter inside and stuff you could look at in tall shelves.

It was an institution when i was a kid. It would be a shame if it was gone.

PF "I remember going in for my fart and itch powder"
Noo I remember whoopee cushions. That would be the fart. I also remember itching powder. But "fart and itch powder"?? Sounds a bit like scratch and sniff tongue.gif
I loved this shop too. They had a two bob bit stuck to the underside of the glass counter. Hours of endless hilarity watching folk trying to pick it up. Remember all the scary masks? I couldn't afford one, but I loved going in to look at them. There was a big row of them. It looked like an ID parade for the Jeremy Kyle Show.
What were the wee paper banger things called? You just threw them at the pavement to give somebody a fright. Then there was stink bombs. I remember someone stunk out the school assembly with one and my teacher saying, "See that Tam Shepherd".
Ahhhh memories

I remember Tam Shepherds as my husband used to buy some fun items and scary faces out of there.

David, my husband bought that naughty cushion as well and caught a few people out with it. They thought he was being so nice offering them a chair. laugh.gif

I went there with a pal one day back in the 70s. We bought rubber masks -Pete was Frankensteins monster and I was Dracula. I drove around and would stop at bus-stops to look at the folk waiting there. It was hilarious watching the reactions. I don't think I ever laughed so much in my life! I don't think the passengers did either! laugh.gif Thanks Tam thumbup.gif

Who would think after all these years the store was still in business. I used to go there in the 50's.
