Happy St Andrews Day.Thought I would mention it,since nobody else seems to have done.We Scots, whether at home or abroad always seem to remember other countries important dates but not our own.Mind you, having said that,St Andrew never actually set foot in Scotland and we share him with Russia,so his connection with Scotand is tenuous,to say the least.

I think we also share St. Andrew with the Greeks. I can remember shiploads of migrants coming to Melbourne on the Chandris Line ships and the funnels had the St. Andrews cross on them.

Have a terrific St. Andrews Day tae a' Scots everywhere!!
My daughter just missed today for her birthday. I was in labour on St. Andrews Day in Surrey in 1971 and I had a Scottish doctor who kept telling me, 'C'mon you can do it for St Andrews Day!' But my unborn daughter had other thoughts and waited until 2am on 1st December...Funny enough she's always been a very good timekeeper and never been late for anything ever again!
