Lived at 161 Maryhill Rd next close to Moreland's next to the tyre shop run by Boaby wee guy with glasses. Nice folk in all the shops round about there remember one guy from Tom Martin's, Eddie wore glasses lived in Knightswood I think my husband painted his house. I am Mary Duffy my husband is Stevie I had two wee weans and went everywhere with a double buggy and had Rottie dogs.
Oh I remember you and your husband!
The wee guy from the tyre shop sold me his car (my first car).
A yellow ford escort which your husband re-painted for him with gloss paint before he sold it to me.
Eddie the manager of my shop, I last seen him around 2004, he later worked at Omand Motors in govan, he was a working retiree by then. If he's still alive today he'll be 87!!
Jimmy Moreland died a few years ago, but I believe his wife is still alive, Ellen was her name. I also remember Paddy & Wullie from there too, but have no idea how they are or whatever.
There was a card shop next door to the butchers, run by Jack & Peggy, and English couple who l liked dearly. They gave me a gift for my 21st, a full leather wallet, and I still have it today 30 odd years later.
I remember your husband well, a big fella who used to walk the dogs, they were every bit as big as him.
I also remember old Barney and his Italian wife.
Oh the memories of all this, it's just like I worked there yesterday and not 29 years ago.
