Yes ExPOW . I remember happy days in Whiteinch park
going on the tram with a couple of pals and an empty
jam jar with a string round it's neck and
a small hand held fishing net , hoping
to catch minnows , sometimes I did and sometimes not
but always good fun ha ha
Kelvingrove park was always a great place to be when
I was a child ,
we would go to the swing park where there was a
wading pool and spend hours there and also the fountain
which was in a different part of the park where we would get
into trouble if the parky caught us in the fountain but most
times we out ran him, {or so we thought ha ha }
Also in another swing park just below the Glasgow university
we would go there to see if we could find "Sandshoe Sanny "
and sometimes we did or maybe he found us , So when he
would start his stupid nonsense , we kids would gang up
and chase him he would run like the blazes. don't know what
we would have done had we ever caught him
ps. Also , I don't think a week passed without
going to Medwyn Street baths in whiteinch for a swim . Great times
The kelvingrove Art Galleries was another favourite haunt,
and as a teenager but still in school and on Sundays after Mass
we would go to the Galleries to eye up the talent that might
be there , but they never saw us

but it was all good fun .
