I remember going to see my Gran at Montieth Row , opposite Glasgow Green when i was about 4.
I hear it's gone now, and Gran + the aunties moved to Castlemilk. Montieth Row was a " close" and had 2 steps up at the entrance. The grille was missing from rhe riser , and people put milk bottles in there.

I,m researching my family history at the moment and Montieth Row features a great deal. My family lived at number 17 from 1915 onwards. I wonder if our relations ever crossed paths.
