There is a woman in Toronto who wants to take the citizenship oath of Canada wearing the hijab
covering her face and has been refused not the wearing of the hijab but the face covering so this may
end up in the supreme court. Does Britain allow the citizenship of women with their faces covered
when they are becoming British citizens?
What is your opinion????

In the same way that an accused has the right to see the face of their accuser in open court.

A countries people have the same right to see the face of any person who wishes to join them in citizenship.

I presume the applicant is not being forced to swear an oath of allegiance, and it is something they want.

What is your opinion????

This'll be like getting a photo ID for your driving licence and wearing a balaclava.

I suspect she knows she's being a trouble-maker.

I support the rights of people covering their faces as long as that applies to everyone and that individuals and businesses can refuse them service , if you want 'special treatment' then thats exactly what you'll get..equality n all that

That the wearing of this third world insult to women and a symbol of masculine hatred and desire to subjugate women, to make them objects of possession is anathematic to all mores and morals of all but the most primitive and brutal societies.

It has no place in Western civilization and those submitting to this barbarism if they wish to take exception to the laws of civilized nations let them do so in the confines of their own fanatical countries.
