The blocks are in Whiteinch Park and I think they are great...a've learned so much about native trees. All the local schools were involved.I won't ask about this one because I did not know the answer...an Ash...never knew it was particular to Scotland.

Ross it would be nice to see more of the blocks. What a great idea to get the school children involved.

First time am in the park Isabel I will look at the other blocks.

Here is another question....was watching the Scottish Open from Loch Lomond yesterday and this sea plane flew past and the guys on TV were like wow what a great way to see the loch.Although the sea planes are based on the Loch do you know what two destinations you can fly to from Glasgow on the sea plane.

They fly to Oban and Tobermory..... we bitty of extra trivia. The chief pilot is a Canadian. Hired from Canada because training on float planes is quite rare in Scotland... not in Canada, sea planes are used a lot in Canada. Jaybee

Thats all spot on...the sea plane is shown at its berth behind the Science Mall and they go every day to Tobermory and Oban. You see the planes over the city every day now and its great. Not been on it yet cos its a bit expensive but I will do it some day.I know the Canadians are involved with it but the day my mum and her friends used it the pilot was from Australia and he told them how difficult it was to get trained pilots and how expensive the training was.

Another picture.....pretty easy one!

Yeh CAT St Andrew's and the Archdiocese building...always liked this building and the way the glass reflects the church......just a pity about the new flats at the back.....really ugly!

Now this one is difficult and I would be awed if anybody got it......its like second home to me so am used to it and the one person I think might have a clue is Elma.....its probably well different to how she remembers it...one clue Elma is look at the surroundings, might give you a clue...next week I will post a picture of how it looked a few months ago and a mega clue is the changes relate to Glasgow 2014 but its not in the east end

Oh Ross, you have given me a challenge. The only place I can think of is Scotstoun Showground or Sports Centre, whatever it is called now, looking towards Jordanhill.

Is Scotstoun going to be used in 2014, if it is I'm going to try to get home for it. smile.gif

The first one is the music center I think. I remember walking up past in on my way to the bus station.

Hey Ross, is the first one St. Vincent Place? The light coloured building on the left looks like the Anchor Line building.
