Posting for a friend: -Any help would be appreciated!

Trying to trace my biological father, James Carson, born in Belfast 25 Nov 1942.
He is known to have connections & lived in Belfast, Glasgow, & England.

I was born on 26th January 1963 in Glasgow and was put up for adoption.

My birth mother was Janet McKay, whom he later married in March 1965, at Henry Drummond Church, Glasgow.
At the time of their marriage James lived at 107 Caldarvan Street, Glasgow & was working as a Housepainter. Janet lived at 20 Derwent Street, Glasgow & was working as a clerkess.
The witnesses on the marriage cert were John Brown of 42 Kenbaan Street, Belfast and Ann Russell, of 11 Regent Moray Street, Glasgow.

They moved to Ireland and during their marriage lived in Belfast, in Langley Street and also Soudan Street, that was where they lived when they divorced. Janet remarried, but I’m unsure what happened to James afterwards.

James parents were James Carson (1912-?) & Dorcas Scott (birth/death unknown). James & Dorcas married on 7 June 1941, in Belfast.
Both the Carson & Scott families have strong ties to Belfast.

On the Carson side of the family, my father, James, had at least 8 aunts & uncles: Samuel (?-?); Elizabeth (1909-?); Mary (1910-1987); Jane (1914-1948); Maud (1915-1992); William (1916-1917); & Emily Haden Carson (1920-1949).

I have no further info on Samuel or Elizabeth Carson, but do have some details for their siblings.
From what I know, none of the other siblings married, other than Mary - I believe she married someone called James Winters. They had a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Winters born in Oct 1945 but died in Nov 1946 at 147 Soudan Street, Belfast. Mary died May 1987 at 252f Kings Road, Belfast.
At the time of Maud’s death in Sept 1992 she was living at 93A Malford Drive, Tullycarnet, Belfast.

The Carson family lived at various addresses in Belfast, e.g: 60 Vernon St; 60 Malcolm Lane; 10 Arran St; 10 Hornridge St; 6 Carrington St; 48 Blythe St; 49 Rathmore St; 5 Brasse St; 68 Glentoran St; 65 Lecale St; & 89 Frenchpark Street.

There is a 2nd cousin of my father, John Denis Carson (1939-1995) - known as Denis – who was involved with an Irish showband called The Gaylords (www.irish-showbands.com/Bands/gaylords.htm).

John Denis Carson was the son of John Alexander Carson (1915-1992) & Jean Farr Stevens (1917-?). This branch of the family lived at: 192 Snugville Street, Belfast; 50 Glenard Parade, Belfast; 30 Melrose Avenue, Belfast etc.

Dorcas Scott was the daughter of John Scott (1887-1962) & Agnes Peel (1889-1960).
She had at least 3 siblings: Robert (1913-1987); John (1914-1991); & Margaret (1917-1995).

Her brother Robert married Annie Gardner (1916-1998) in June 1936 at the Elim Tabernacle, Melbourne Street, Belfast. He died at 38 Seafield Fold, Holywood, Belfast.

John Scott married Neva Gladys Bennett (1920-2008) in June 1942, Hammersmith, London. John died May 1991, Putney, London.
Neva died in London, on the 8th March 2008. Between 2002-2006 she lived at 215, Hayward Gardens, London, SW15 3BU.
I believe John & Neva may have had 3 children although I have been unable to verify more details.

Margaret Scott married Francis Albert Tedford (1914-2006) in Jan 1936 at Mountpottinger Methodist Church, Belfast. They had 2 daughters who died in infancy Jean (1936-1937) & Margaret (1948-1948). Margaret died Jan 1995 at 3d Cappagh Gardens, Belfast.

Some addresses the Scott family lived at in Belfast were: 7 Emerald Street; 15 Henryville Street; 60 Roslyn Street; 21 Canton Street; 13 Glentoran Street; 24 Shamrock Street; 22 Merok Crescent; 31 Bryansford Street.

I understand James may have remarried and have a family who may not know about me, but it would mean a lot to me to find out if my father is still alive and would appreciate any help to find him.
