this Glasgow band from 1967 had a single on Deram called 'Bird has Flown.'
They featured Robert Paterson on vocals and David Struthers on bass.
They auditioned at the Picasso club for Alan Clarke of the Hollies who produced their single.

Does anyone remember them? Here is some more of them:

yea my dad played with Societie, he is still playing bass, the original band members have not been in touch with each other since early 70's

Hi Stevie,

Robbie is living in London, has been for many years now, not singing in public anymore but still burst into song now and again, sounds more like Frankie Miller in his older years, spoke to him this week he's ok

Robbie lives in London and has done for many years, speak with him every other day he's ok. Voice got better has he got older sounds more like the old Frankie Miller and the man himself agreed wink.gif
