... my keyboard has a bad habit of giving me double quantities of the letter `E' and my eyes are too bad to notice it untill it's too late: hence the `typos' in the newspaper above. rolleyes.gif

Strange how memory works. Sitting here watching TV when out of nowhere I remember being at Craigedorn pier watching the people step on board one of the old Clyde steamers as their tickets are checked.
Then I can see my granda in his wheelchair along with my mother and two other woman.
My granda died in 1954 so this would have been sometime between 52 and 53 I think.
Unexpected but nice memory to just pop into my head.

Hi Dave, makes you wonder what triggers these memories: like a computer working away through its files in the background. I't always amazes me how when you've given up trying to remember a name or somethung it suddenly pops up an hour or two, or even days, later.
Your pictures above had me shakin' ma heid for a minit but only because I first thought that I was looking at a big feather on some stairs, then saw that it must be a long caterpillar before realising I was looking at a centipede after the name gave it away (and I got that wrong anyway by thinking I was reading shongolongos) laugh.gif
I wont say my eyes are bad ... but that's only because I don't like saying my eyes are bad. laugh.gif
