The car I bought was a 1954 model which I bought in 1965. I paid 23 for it and ran it for over two years. I learned a lot about fixing cars ...

My first car was a 1954 Ford Popular, its only claim to fame was it was the cheapest car ever made. No springs, a box on wheels. The gear shifter always fell out of 2nd going up a hill and battered my knee. The windshield wipers would occasionally turn a full circle, down on to the bonnet and all around. My answer to fix that problem was I bought a kid's bow and arrow set and stuck the sucker from the arrow on the windshield, to stop the wiper in its tracks and return it to normal wiping. Also had the orange semaphore indicators. I could go on and on . . . mad.gif but it was transportation!

Catherine you'd need a wee stool to get in it! I'm 5"7 and I still have to haul myself up into Phil's truck! He has one of the big black dodge Indy trucks with 4 doors..and yes it has a Hemi! HA!HA! I feel like I'm queen of the road when I'm driving it because it's so big and high up! laugh.gif
