THE LORD PROVOST and MAGISTRATES of GLASGOW having received certain information, that a Woman and several Dogs in this city have lately been bitten by a MAD DOG, do hereby strictly prohibit and discharge all persons from letting their Dogs go loose in the city, and enjoin and require them to keep up and confine their Dogs for the space of six weeks from this date, under the penalty of FIVE SHILLINGS sterling for each offence to be paid to the informer. And in case any Dog be found going loose in the city from and after Wednesday the fourth of February next, the Town Officers are hereby requested, and all Others are authorised to kill such Dogs, and a reward of One Shilling sterling for each Dog so killed will be paid by William Watson, keeper of the Town Clerks' Chamber.
