Hi All,

I've started this new board Short News", in which I am going to find a (possibly) interesting Glasgow-related news story every day from the online media, condense it and re-write it. From there you can read the 'short' Glasgow news story and rate it and even add your comments by replying.

The board is not meant to be as 'strict' as the 'On Topic' "Politics & World Affairs", so please take a little time every day to consider reading the story and rating it, and - if you're really feeling energetic - why not add your comment or opinion?

Come on, it only takes a minute and helps keep the GG boards fresh and interesting...don't just read, participate and have some fun!

GG.

I'll be back to one news story per day now - maybe even more - now that most of the work on the boards upgrade has been done!

Can I ask that - if you read a story - please rate the subject of the story (i.e. do you find it interesting or not), that way I can guage what stories you prefer to read and act accordingly.

Also, please comment on the story - it keeps the boards alive.

GG.

hiya GG, in fact, hiya all !!

I havent visited the site for a million years, havent in fact been back home for anything other than the last funeral, which makes me a sad guy !!

Just wanted to wish you success with the idea, I will try to contribute with unfunny comments, satire, and general witlessness.

Just as long as we can discuss anything other than bloody football !! Although I'm a 4th generation Tim, I got loads of { good } mates that kick with a different foot, we try to avoid footy. We talk politics, religion, any other subject is fine. We can talk in a considered, sometimes even intelligent manner, until somebody brings up the game !!

looking forward to any response at all, thanks

Hi, This is my second attempt first one disappeared. My big news is that there is to be a dedication ceremony on August 7, 2007 in queen e Forest Park by Aberfoyle. To is a memorial to the Women's timber Corps which I was a membere of during WW2. We have been fighting for this for many years. At last we have finally succeeded and a bronze sculpture of a Lumberjill will be erected. It has taken 60 for this recognition. My website is
