Not been in for quite a few years now and just been having a very nostalgic look back at some of my past. Original post was mine but taken over brilliantly by Norrie...I hope you are well my man! Still remember this site with enormous pleasure, Like most of us life has moved on and I am now one of the many who no longer live in Scotland but it will always be home for me....perhaps someday it might be home once more.. Where ever you are in the world, celebrate and enjoy Christmas morning...think of family and old friends.Remember our past, look forward to our future. Many thanks to everyone who contributed to this amazing board. My morning sunrise.

Merry Christmas to one and all. I have just returned home after a beachfront Christmas dinner. The view I had was of a beach thronged with yellow umbrellas, 30c temp, blue sea and sky with white surf cascading onto the sand. For some reason Bing Crosby singing in the background about a White Christmas didn't quite fit in. Merry Christmas everybody

Same to you Dave. Not quite in your league, but it’s bright and sunny here and a roasting 12c (which is very warm for this time of year). Cannae listen to Bing singing that because it makes me greet

all the Christmas songs make me greet. My dad was born on Christmas day 1900 and died Christmas 1941 when I ws 2,so I spent all my young life watching my mum cry at Christmas. Not merry at all.

I certainly miss Ross and Norrie. Ross because he is from a much younger generation than me, and Norrie because I always enjoyed his stories about his walking group. I hope he is still participating in that activity. If you read this Norrie, how about giving us an update about what your walking Group is up to. The same applies to Ross. Give us a wee tale about what you are now doing.

Howzit wombat, its 11 in the morning and I am going to the shops. You will know what I mean when I say I am desperate to go to the shops im sitting here in the house in shorts and sandals with the sweat running off me and the thought of getting into an air conditioned car and then walking through an air conditioned shopping center sounds like the perfect afternoon to me.

Ha ha don't know whats worse the cat or the snake. Wasn't that hot here but the humidity was bloody ridicules. I don't think there was a part of my skin that was dry.
