I was probably about 4 / 5yrs old at this time ,
and my mother had moved us from Glasgow to Clackmannan
with me and my baby brother and I do recall that I was very happy during that short period in my life .
My mother had put me into public school in alloa , not sure if this would have been a kindergarten or primary one but I did feel like a big girl ,
when I would go on the public bus to get there , and eat my lunch in a room set up for us kids in the school , " my favorite being fried bacon in a roll and a few little goodies , that my mother put into my lunch bag .

We lived there for about one year . and I loved going to school
such happy days .

Anyway , all good things , as they say , must end .

We came home to Glasgow after about a year in Clackmannan ,
Maybe we arrived unsure.gif at Buchannan St.
bus Station ! and that is when I came across this beautiful
red coloured ladies handbag on one of the seats , and I ,
Immediately coveted it.

Of course My parents asked me where did I fnd it , I
told them .
My dad disappeared and came back with young woman
the owner of the purse , I was devastated , but she was so kind and understanding, that she gave me a shilling for finding that purse .

and for years after ,
I always loved red purses
and shoes , , although My colours these days
are more subdued . ... smile.gif

Hello Anne , it is a small world indeed , although you have , in all probability ,
a lot more memories than I of Clackmannanshire ,
It is a place that I always intended to visit , but , I have never done so ,
who know's ! Maybe one of these year's
just lovely wee childhood memories for me . like going with older kids
and raiding a veg, garden ,and being chased by the owner and when walking alongside the local cemetery being scared to death by a bald headed older boy who would jump over the wall and scare the hell out of us kids , unsure.gif scary stuff .

So Anne , I do hope that you John and family have a lovely summer
and all will be well in your house , Take care ...Pat
